Mission Statement: Schavey Road Elementary School is home to our Young-5's, Kindergarten, and First-Grade students. Our goal is to create an enriched learning environment that engages all students to achieve their highest success. We are dedicated to building a safe, compassionate learning community for our students. We pride ourselves in creating an environment where students are safe, kind, and responsible. Our main office is open daily from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Volunteer Background Checks
Schavey Road loves to have helpful parent volunteers and chaperones. If you’re interested in helping out in your child’s classroom, the building, or chaperone a class trip, you must complete an I-CHAT (background check) first. This background check is only good for one year and must be renewed each year after July 1st. If you completed one last year, you’ll need to complete a new one again this year. Staff and students appreciate all our families do to support our learning! ICHAT
Important Times:
Car-line drop-off will begin at 8:10 a.m. and the first bell will ring at 8:25 a.m.
School start time: 8:30 a.m.
School end time: 3:20 p.m.
All half-days end time: 11:42 a.m

December 9th- Optional board meeting student performance. It will be held in the DeWitt Middle School Auditorium at 6:00 pm
December 20th- Full Day- Winter break starts at the end of the day
January 6th- Classes Resume
January 20th - No School- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
February 14th - Half Day- CLT
February 17th- No School- President's Day
February 28th- Half Day- Teacher record day
March 19th - Half Day- CLT
March 25th and March 26th- Kindergarten and first-grade evening parent/teacher conferences
March 27th- Half Day
March 28th- No School- Spring break begins
April 7th- School Resumes
April 18th- No School
May 14th- Half Day- CLT
May 26th- No School- Memorial Day
June 6th- Half Day- Last day of school!
